Meeting the national curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety 2022-2023

There are 24 children in the 2022-2023 Year 6 cohort. These children have attended school swimming sessions throughout their time in Key Stage 2.

79% of the Year 6 cohort swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.

79% of the Year 6 cohort use a range of strokes effectively.

100% of the Year 6 cohort perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.

This year we have not used the Primary PE and Sport Premium to provide additional provision for swimming.

There are 15 children in the 2018-2019 Year 6 cohort. These children have attended school swimming sessions throughout their time in Key Stage 2.

100% of the Year 6 cohort swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.

100% of the Year 6 cohort use a range of strokes effectively.

100% of the Year 6 cohort perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
