PE
Week 1
This week in PE, we have been learning how to throw and catch correctly. We have been practicing our underarm throw using tennis balls. We have learnt how to stand correctly, how to throw the ball accurately and aim in the right direction. We have also learnt where to hold our hand to make sure we can catch the ball. We throw the ball from different distances and learnt how to control how far we throw the ball.
Week 2
This week, we have continued to practice our throwing skills using a range of balls this week. We used tennis balls and basket balls. We learnt how throw a ball using a range of throws; underarm, overarm and a bounce pass. We worked together to practice our throwing and catching skills.
Week 3
This week, we have been practicing how to throw into a target. We use beanbags, tennis balls and larger balls and aimed them into a hoop. The distance of the hoop challenged the children as it kept changing.
