Hello Thoresby Class Parents/Carers,

Firstly, a big thank you to all of the grown-ups for the support at our Christmas Carol Concert and Christmas Fayre on Wednesday. The children worked incredibly hard practising the songs and it was lovely to showcase this to you.

We also had a fantastic- if not muddy- time at Sherwood Pines yesterday. Please remember to keep checking the website to see pictures of what your child has been up to! 

Reminder that on Wednesday we will be opening our classroom to grown-ups to support their child with a range of Christmas crafts. If you are unable to make it, please be reassured that myself and Mrs Mills will be working with any children without an adult and they will still be able to create all of the exciting crafts that we have prepared. 

Homework- For homework, please complete the reading comprehension. 

Reading- Reading books will be checked and changed if necessary on a Friday. Please make sure your child reads at least three times a week and this is recorded in their diary. 

Spellings- Spelling diaries should be in school on a Friday for the weekly spelling test. Spellings will be given on a Friday to practise for the following week.

Next weeks spellings are: straight, strength, strange, surprise, suppose, therefore, though, thought, through, various. 

Times Tables Rockstars- Passwords have been stuck in front of reading diaries. We have a weekly times tables test and have started to test up to 12 x 12.
